Bought it for my husband and he loves it, we made the first one together, it was very easy with the instructions provided. We used half the bottle for the smell only, a full bottle seems to be too much! But it was a very good buy as a beginner!

Update- I tried a candle making kit from a big candle company. Soft Owls was better! I actually used the directions from Soft Owl to help with the candle making!!I wanted to try candle making and searched for a kit that would have everything I needed and this kit met the criteria!! I made all of the candles in one evening!!Instructions were easy to read and follow. The wax, scents and wax color were great! The scents were apple, cinnamon, jasmine, sandalwood, lavender, vanilla and rose. Stickers for each scent are included and are adorable! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS KIT!! I did have extra wax with each candle set I made. I used other molds just to practice so as not to waste the wax. Very pleased with this purchase as a first time candle maker. Highly recommend.

This is a great purchase. It feels like a high quality experience to make these candles. The kit is very thoughtfully designed, including literally everything you need except for a pot of boiling water. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The vessels into which you pour your candle wax look nice and classy. The fragrance oils are not weak, creating nicely scented candles. For the price, it's hard to beat, considering the size of the candles you can create and the fun evening you'll have making them. I'd highly recommend. Great for a date night or a girl's night. We made 2 candles while watching a movie and have enough supplies to repeat the activity a few more times.

This was a nice kit. It was fun to do, and came with all you need and a bit extra. The scents are nice, and they last while burning all the way down to the bottom of the candle. The various containers to pour into are very pretty too. And the wax was smooth and burned evenly. The instructions were clear, and the product was packed attractively.

It’s a really good starter kit it comes with everything you need. My only issue with it is the scents that it comes with are not very good at all. Most of them do not smell like what they say they are. Just preference at the end of the day, still definitely worth the purchase!

I purchased these for my wife, she wasn’t the biggest fan of the scents but she truly enjoyed the kit and making the candles.Pros: the materials look and feel like great quality items, and the kits seem to have a good selection to choose from.Cons: maybe it’s user error, but the candle wax doesn’t seem to burn all the way around, so it seems to be a bit of waste.
