Assembling this playhouse requires some organization, but is definitely feasible for two adults, one drill, and a little patience. Be prepared to make some basic modifications to meet your specific needs. For example, the windows, particularly the back window, present a probable fall hazard. It's heavy, so build it where you plan to keep it. We built ours for inside play, removed the front ladder and secured the opening with a 15" x 15" mesh cargo net: PowerTye 50153 Blue 15"X15" Cargo Net featuring 6 Adjustable Hooks & Tight 2"x2" Mesh.We have a small home with vaulted ceilings in the living room, so we purchased this playhouse to maximize space for our little one. We added a bookshelf and floor pillows underneath to make a cozy reading den. We also added some toy storage under the stairs. Purchased for my sons second birthday, we expect to get around three years of play out of it. Then we'll probably reassemble it outside and convert it to a chicken coop.A few notes: The playhouse parts arrived in two large, heavy boxes; approximately 200lbs each. We had the boxes laid on the floor of the garage, then sorted all of the boards and pieces in the order of the assembly steps. This made it easy to collect the pieces for a few steps at a time and bring them into the house. The dining table became hardware central. This made fast work of a potentially complicated process. Most of the boards were clearly labeled, with one or two that we had to identify by comparison to other boards. Surprisingly, the two toy storage boxes were the most inconvenient to assemble, and too small to be very useful. Overall, we were impressed with the quality of the wood and hardware, and our house had a fresh cedar smell for a couple weeks after building it.

All in all amazing product for the price . A couple things that don’t sit well.1. The windows have noting to prevent a child from falling out especially the one with the bench . Seems pretty unsafe . I bought a couple pieces of wood and nailed them in to create a little barrier. .2. The thin piece of wood above the ladder seems pretty flimsy. Especially if you add a slide which we did . So we reinforced it with another piece of wood .2. The hinges for the swing doors are really shotty and we rebuilt those as well with real hinges so they didn’t pop of any more .3. I have a three year old who is very short and the underprt of the House is very very low she can’t even stand but it’s a fun little hideout for her and a sand box . But be careful and maybe put padding on some beams to protect some pretty bad head bumps and tears .But all I’m all it’s beautiful and perfect for a small place or even a large one .

Great for Toddler sized kiddos! Good value for the money. Took a lot of time to assemble, but directions were clear and organized! Doors probably won't last long with regular play.

I actually bought this for my 2 large dogs! I left off the playhouse structure and used the pieces to complete the enclosure at the top. My dogs love it and use it as a lookout tower with the lower level shaded and off the ground.For normal families, this would be a great play structure as intended. It does take all day to build. Many parts. But the instructions are clear and the parts are all included.

One of the main peices of missing from the box from the manufacturer. We had to make our own. Over products looks good. Wood is soft since it's cedar and seems flimsy. Hopefully it will hold up over time with kids roughing it up.

This play-set is well designed, and comes with a lot of good screws, bolts, nuts, tools, etc. - BUT the wood is absolutely horrible. My kit is missing 2x critical pieces to assemble the top railing, and several pieces of the wood have split.... the wood is SUPER soft. We are 80% of the way through assembly now - so makes no sense to disassemble / return. So this will essentially be a disposable / throw-away item 1 season from now (2 max.). Wish I would have gone with the more expensive / higher quality set-ups w/ much better wood.

The media could not be loaded. This beautiful wood playhouse is a testament to creativity and imagination. I would give this playhouse a higher rating were it not that I thought I was ordering directly from the playhouse distributor, Harmony Direct. They charged me $829.99. Walmart also sells their playhouse for $599. I didn’t want to order from Walmart because they cheapen the product to sell for less. But, that is what Harmony Direct did. They put my order through Walmart but did not lower their price. When I asked about this trade their comment was “We do not price match.” This is not about price matching. This is about misrepresenting the sale. Otherwise, I’d have bought direct from Walmart. True to Walmart’s form, there are missing pieces and the so-called pre-stained cedar needs to be sanded and stained again. All-in-all, my granddaughters will love this playhouse. I added a slide & sandbox underneath. Just be careful when purchasing anything through Harmony Direct.
