Maytag Refrigerator Water Filters
Since the filters for my Maytag Refrigerator have been discontinued and these came up as a replacement, was hesitant as they are very reasonable in price but having read all the information as to what they do to improve the water taste and filtration I decided to order them and have used all 3, with much satisfaction as to the taste of my water and filtration. They are a little hard for me to remove but that is on me as my strength in my hands is not too strong. I am pleased with this product. Just replaced them every 6 months and have ordered more as it is a very good sale for 3.

Perfect
Perfect fit for Whirlpool Gold side-by-side. Easy to screw in. TIP ... after removing the old filter, turn it upside down in the sink for a few minutes to drain before throwing it in the trash.

Easy install
Make sure to follow the directions and cycle the water until the sediment from the filter is gone.

You have to be firm with it
The filter appears to work fine - however I had some difficulty installing it in place: at first I thought I had screwed it in tightly, but the water wouldn’t flow. I had to turn it further with more force and it then turned a bit more which did the job.

Better and cheaper than the name brand filters
These are exactly like the name-brand Whirlpool filters, but they are much cheaper and last a bit longer than the Wirlpool brand. Save a few bucks and by these.
