Pleasant HearthStonewall Fireplace Screen

This was exactly what I needed to keep my 1 year old from getting in the fireplace. We don’t ever light a fire here in southern Cali so haven’t tested it with burning logs yet to see how it holds but overall seems like it’s built to last a while. The gun metal is dark, which I like. It almost looks black. It was easy to install the legs.

It’s nice - darker than I expected but it has rust marks throughout. I have another screen that I purchased from plow and hearth and for a couple bucks more - it’s much nicer. The doors on this screen don’t work well. One sticks a lot and is very hard to open. Kind of a pain when the knob is burning hot. When you pull hard, the entire screen moves. The other door doesn’t stay open so when you’re tending to the fire, the door keeps closing on you. Remember - they’re hot!! To sum it up - I’d spend a couple dollars more and get a plow and hearth screen.

This is darker than what is shown, but I knew this from other reviews and if you are familiar with gun metal then you know what you are getting. The darker look works for us because that is what we have for hardware on cabinets on sides of fire place and on other hardware around the house.My biggest complaint is that one if the rear feet on this will not stay on, can't seem to get it tight enough. We shouldn't need to move it often, but still annoying.

I had to return the first one shipped because the doors didn’t close/latch. It was a manufacturing defect that probably should have been caught before it left the plant... but I thought it was a mistake. Received the replacement and doors latch but they’re uneven. It’s slight, so not a big deal. I attached the legs and couldn’t figure out why bottom was flush but top had 2 inch gap and I cut a few pieces from the box and put it under the legs to prop them so screen was flush top to bottom. I paid more for what I thought was going to be a higher quality product but I feel like this is just an overpriced $70 screen? There’s not much quality control and I’m keeping it because I don’t feel like lugging it to Kohls a second time for a return, but I wouldn’t order it again. It looks ‘fine’ but for what I paid I wanted it to look ‘great’. If that makes sense.

Absolutely beautiful! It is darker than the picture but it is not black! Well made and perfect style. Tried to save money and get the out of box one. It came without legs! Returned it and got a replacement in a few days. No problem!

Great addition to outdoor fireplace. The doors on the screen were a plus in regards to working a live fire. The quality was also as expected.

There is nothing to dislike about this screen. It is well built of good sturdy metal. After attaching the feet, the screen stands with no fear of Tippi g over. The two doors open wide like cubbord doors so you can a easily tend to the fire or add wood. It looks very fashionable on my fireplace. I highly recommend.

Not steady, would not stayed closed. I sent it back. Scared that it wouldn't hold up when burning a fire. Do not recommend this item

Exactly what I wanted. Perfectly frames our small fireplace opening. Sits flat against the brick vs sticking out (we have a small room) and the doors are very convenient. Easy to assemble and attractive
