Effective and our cats like them
Our cats find these tasty and eat them happily, eagerly awaiting treat time. Our vet recommended lysine for feline herpesvirus and this seems to keep that under control (no sniffles or sneezes). We have been using these now for several years with no complaints. The consistency does change sometimes more moist or more crunchy but our cats don’t seem to mind.

My cats actually eat these!
My cats are used to homemade food and treats, so use that to gauge whether or not your cats will eat these. These are high quality not only because of the ingredients; they are a good size, come in a cute tuna fish shape, you get a good quantity for the price, and you can smell the supplement smell when you open the package like you can when you open up human supplements (e.g., vitamin D, fish oil, gelatin, etc.). I was worried that this fact would ensure they would not eat these, but they come running for these like their other "junk food" treats. These are so good for my cats, thank you so much. Best wishes to all of the pets out there.

keeps sticky eyes clear
***Updated Review***The cats are about 2 years old and they can eat these now. As older kittens (9 months) they really couldn't eat them, the treats were too large and they had trouble chewing. They also seemed to really dislike the taste. Now they will eat them, they're still not super thrilled about them. Sometimes I need to break the treat in two and they seem to sniff it and be more interested then. They still struggle to chew it some but usually manage to eat it with minimal encouraging. The amount of lysine per treat is good, so only two to three per cat per day. Their eyes always seem to stay healthy when they get these once a day, if I go a few days to a week without, they both start to itch their eyes and they get runny. So I do think it keeps the herp at bay.The price is so much better here than PetSmart or PetCo. Those places sell this for about 10 to 15. The closest pet store to me sells only one type of lysine treat (not this kind) and it's 20$ for a bag of 60 treats! Crazy. Very glad to buy them here, for less money. Delivery was again prompt and packaging was fine.**Older 2 star review **The product shipped quickly and was as advertised. However, one cat really disliked the treats, the other wasn't thrilled but would eat them. I think they are too large, and the texture is chewy, my cats kept spitting them out trying to chew but giving up. To get the less picky one to eat it, I have to break it up into bits. For the picky one, I crushed the treat with a fork and mixed it into wet food. For a few days he wouldn't eat the wet food with the treat in it, but he's eating it a little now. Still, he's not thrilled by them. There is no way to test if a cat would like these before buying, but I would say if your cats don't typically eat larger chewy foods they may dislike this treat. The length is a little less than 1 inch long and about .5 inch wide, .25 inch depth. Fish shaped, chicken flavored. Larger than any other cat treat I've seen, I didn't think about the size of a treat before purchasing though.

Cats won’t eat them
My cats unfortunately won’t eat these. My one cat is not picky in the slightest, and she just spits them out. They are very hard, it seems like they have trouble chewing them. I tried breaking them into smaller pieces and they still won’t eat them. Waste of money.

I was so excited to finally get these.....
I recently adopted a Maine Coon kitten from our local shelter. I was so excited about helping them & giving the kitten a home. Unfortunately, the kitten brought an Upper Respiratory Infection along with him:( That turned into $125 in vet fees. But the worse part about it is, he has Feline Herpes. Apparently my other cat had it too, but she never had any flare ups, until he came here. Now they both are sneezing, coughing(occasionally), and have watery eyes all the time. I feel so bad for them. It breaks my heart seeing a 5month old kitten sleep all day, when I know he should be running around destroying the house & everything in his path. My vet told me how helpful Lysine can be for feline herpes so I was extremely excited to find these treats on here. From the research I've done it seems like the majority of Lysine comes in liquid or powder form. That will not work for me seeing as I feed my cats dry food(It's better for their teeth). Then I was even more excited when I read the reviews for the product, and the majority of the ppl said their cat(s) loved the treats & had no problems eating them. Now I'll tell u about my experience with them. First of all it needs to be known that we are a big fan of treats. My cats love them & we always have 2-3 kinds on hand everyday. My cats come running at the sound of a zip top bag. Bc that's what their treats come in. Needless to say I was very happy with the speed of the shipment. I ordered it late Friday night & received it Tuesday:) I was guessing it would be more like Thurs or Fri. But I was wrong. As soon as I opened the bag the cats came running. My first impression was, "Wow, these things are HUGE!". U def. need to cut them in half or even thirds. Then the smell hit me. They are very strong smelling. So I gave each cat 1 treat broke in half. They both smelled it and walked away:( I was so disappointed. I had such I hopes & they were crushed in that one instant. I left the treats on the floor though & wouldn't u know it, the little one(Gizmo) came back & started batting the treat around the house like a toy. Lol. Then to my surprise he ate it:) That's when he became addicted. He ran back over & got the other half batted it around for a second & ate it too. Then he came to me wanting more. I gave him another half. I didn't wanna give him too much bc he's so small. The bag says 1-2 treats a day. So I figured 1 & a ½ would be ok. I swear though it was like those things were a drug to him. He went around the house smelling all the places he had the treat as if he was looking for more. I'm extremely happy he likes them, but I'm sad Lilly won't eat them. She's older & wiser I guess. But I do think if they didn't smell so strong she'd try them. It reminds her too much of medicine & not a treat. Overall, I'm glad I bought them, u can't beat $8 & some change(including shipping). Atleast one of the cats are eating them. & to be honest he needs them the most anyhow. My advice to future buyers is; Don't give up if your cat smells them & walks away. Leave them down there or slip them in their food. I'm going to mix one in with regular cat treats to try to get Lilly to eat them. Maybe that'll work(fingers crossed). Sorry this review is so long. As u can imagine, I talk a lot:)
