I've had one in my basement for several years hitting JUGGS balls with wood bats and love it. The balls break occasionally after a long period of time but can really take a beating. I set-up the machine on stacked crates so that the machine is at shoulder height thus replicating a very inexpensive indoor pitching machine. If you buy good balls they will be delivered consistently in the strike zone. The best money I've spent for practicing baseball in the winter.

The balls are very fragile , so a very light bite would deform them and once deformed they won’t go smoothly through passage and will get stuck. I got it last week and I’m now training my Labrador to put the balls into the machine. I might try other balls if I find one that might work

My son, daughter, and myself have used a child's aluminum T-ball bat. I can swing full speed with jugs poly baseballs and no issues. Jugs Balls are more consistent than the ones it came with. Huge upgrade for small money. Other limited flight styles may work also. Only have tried jugs based on others reviews and recommendations.
