Wonderful flavor.
This is the most flavourful tuna that I’ve ever purchased. It does not have a fishy smell. It’s wonderful for sandwiches and for sushi. This company is a win-win.

Great flavor
I stumbled upon this brand of tuna just after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Shelves in my local market had been stripped of many items, including canned tuna. This one was still on the shelf, no doubt owing to its price. But what a nice discovery.I'm happy that this tuna has been caught by people with the highest of principles, but what convinced me to buy it again was the great flavor. This tuna is canned with only a little salt--no water and no oil. It's flaky and fragrant. For some time I had been buying Italian tuna canned in olive oil, which is a marked improvement over the mass-marketed tuna packed in water that is most common. But this tuna is better by far. Yes, it's a little dry, but that is easy to repair as I'm cooking. For example, it takes about three times as much mayo to use it in tuna salad, but the result is so superior. The taste is light but definite and the mayo, even in higher proportion, takes a back seat.I was pleased to find this offer on Amazon. With a purchase of a 12-can box, the tuna costs a third less than that in my local market. There will be no challenge in using all 12 cans.

Excellent
Excellent tuna. Pricey, but worth it. Tuna has a fresh smell, not alot of water and it's very dense. Doesn't look like cat food. Fresh delightful taste mixed with mayo. I have a tuna sandwich for breakfast.

There is no better value in canned tuna.
There are several aspects of this product that people should understand, but one must understand the positive and negative in order to properly evaluate this product. Is the packaging imperfect? Yes. The cans do not appear as full as many other brands.Does it taste a little dry? Yes. The cooking leaves the product tasting a little "dry."Both of these things are true, and I can understand why it would turn some people off. Especially people who aren't really into tuna, or people who can't really discern quality meats. These people might get the wrong first impression of this product, and it is understandable. However, someone like myself, who is a fan of tuna, and has a taste for it, and has tried most other brands, including the $5 - $10 a can brandswould have to make sure you understand something about this product.Despite the presentation, and aesthetic qualities of the "dryness" this is about as high a quality of tuna meat you can find in a can of tuna.More expensive brands like "American" and others, present a fuller can and their cooking process creates an outstanding product that is perceivably less "dry." However, you will not find a higher QUALITY meat than from this product. It is absolutely amazing. They cut corners with cooking and packaging, but I believe this allows them to keep the cost down and provide a product that is as high a quality meat as the $8 a can brands. This isn't the type of tuna you would eat straight out of the can, like the more expensive brands, but pair it with rice and it is heavenly. You will wonder why you can't put your spoon down. The quality of the meat blows away anything else in its price range, such as Wild Planet. I like Wild Planet, it is more aesthetically pleasing than the SafeCatch, however, the meat itself is night and day.If you want to complain about this product, please understand that to get tuna meat of this quality, you have to spend at least TWICE the amount of money. There is no better value available in the market than what this brand has delivered. They have the best meat quality to price ratio you can find.Again, if you want to complain about the cooking or the packaging, feel free to buy the $8 a can tuna. Those brands are excellent, but you will also pay a lot more. With SafeCatch, if you can get over the aesthetic imperfections, you will be able to enjoy some of the highest quality meat you will ever find in a can.

Superior Tuna
I was surprised that the can contained mostly a solid chunk of white tuna meat. No slivers nor bits, but a solid piece and two smaller pieces. The color was appealing and the taste was flavorful and fresh. I put it on lettuce and ate it as it came out of the can. Add the flavor to the low mercury content, which I have no way to test , and the combination makes for a a terrific product. I plan to re-order this product.

Highest amount of protein per calories consumed
Highest amount of protein per calories consumed of any food. This is remarkable. 37 grams of protein for 100 calories. The albacore tuna is extremely tasteful, assuming you like tuna, and many dishes can be made. The mercury is not the absolute lowest on the market, although it is only 1 part per 3 million, half of government regulations.
