Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pad Kits #4, #5 and #6 Bundle

I was sort of expecting these to be a bit dry due to the reviews that had their ink pads come dry. However, mine are the opposite! They showed up completely juicy and full of ink, but not overflowing with ink. I absolutely adore the pastels and the muted colors found in this 12 pad set. I have already used several of the colors for distressing the edges of tags & journal cards. Highly recommend these ink pads, and also this set in particular!

As a paper crafter, I have resisted using inks and stamps. After several years, I finally decided I needed to take the plunge. These little minis are a great way to do that. You get lots of variety; the size is great for a product that won't be used every day; and it's a super way to decide which "family" of colors I will use most frequently. The little cubes are easy to handle and easy to store. I'm glad I finally took the plunge.

I recommend ALL of the Tim Holtz distress mini ink pad kits. The raised pad allows you to use these on any size stamp, and with 12 kits to choose from you can quickly - and fairly affordably - expand your ink choices. On occasion I do need to use an eraser on my stamp to give the ink something to grip (a technique I only recently adopted), but all the colors are beautiful. Set #4 is currently my favorite.I did purchase the storage tins with each kit (1/2/3, 4/5/6, 7/8/9, 10/11/12) and recommend the investment if you're an organization nut.

I used these today for the first time. I found that they are a little on the dry side. Due to that the ink pad was splotchy because one side of the pad seems to have more ink then the other side of the pad. I did not use them for stamping images but for inking edges of card stock. I doubt if the condition these are in they could be used for stamping although I have seen that technique done with these inks. Do I want to now buy re-inkers for all of them? I doubt it.

I love the size and the color it's a great way to test which color you like the best it's great with the dobbers and/or straight application to the paper or slick surface to paint with. I like how the stack as well, and I usually keep the foam pads under it so I don't lose them when storing them

I looooooove these Tim Holtz mini ink pads. I wanted to buy the mini pads so I could try several different colors and once I find my favorites I can buy the larger ink pads. The only problem is I haven't found a color I don't like and I don't NEED!!!! Home Run as usual for Tim Holtz!!!!

I ordered the three sets of distressed inks. Two of the three sets the inks were dried out. I won’t get a lot of use out of them. One set was excellent.

When I unpacked the inks, two of them in one of the packages had leaked everywhere. They still seems to work but I have lost a lot of ink from the pad in transit.
