Perfect for youtube videos
I use this mic for content creation, mainly YouTube videos and I record with my Iphone. I have tried a handful of affordable wireless mics and the quality just isn’t there. I have also tried a few other mics like this one but nothing else compares to this microphone. The quality is great for the price, and It’s easy to use. For my Iphone I did need to get an adapter but those are pretty affordable as well. The cord has plenty of length if you’re into interview style videos. Overall I highly recommend this microphone especially if you’re making YouTube videos

Sounds better than expected.
I bought this for a friend to help her start recording her interview videos with better sound quality. After getting her set up with her DSLR camera, we tested it, and I was impressed with the sound quality. I am a professional filmmaker, so sound is crucial to my work. The setup was easy, and I am very satisfied with this affordable sound solution.

Sound Playing Through Mic Leaks Into Recording
I was planning to use this microphone with IEMs in lieu of a headset. The microphone itself sounds decent. It has adequate pickup from about a foot away, a low noise floor, and is rustling noise is minimized. This microphone has a monitoring jack for headphones in the control cylinder. It passes through audio from your computer/smartphone to headphones plugged into it. It would be a wonderful feature if it actually worked...If you play sound to listen on your headphones while recording then the sound will be recorded. It has substantial electrical crosstalk / bleeding / leaking between its TRRS poles. It actually doesn't matter if headphones are plugged in or not, any audio playing on the left or right output poles will leak into the mic input pole. It's not picking up audio being played through the air, but electrically. The issue occurs with both my MacBook's onboard sound and my PC's Sound Blaster Play 3 USB DAC.The above means that you can't use it as a headset for conference calling as the other party hears themselves talk. This also means that you cannot use it to record only your vocals while playing music from your computer. The only way to avoid in/out leakage is to separate the headphones with a TRRS to TRS breakout cable then feed the microphone the mic TRRS pole via a TRS to TRRS combiner cable. This is shown in the first picture. Using the microphone as in the second picture will result in leakage. When I contacted Boya support they blamed it on my sound settings. Eventually they referred it to their technical staff but they have not responded since.I thought I had a defective unit so I sent the first one back. The replacement that I received has the same issue. It seems to be defective by design. I don't understand how none of the previous reviews nor YouTubers have noticed this issue.I hope someone find this review useful. I would've like to have seen a review like this before I wasted my time.

You need some sort of adapter or battery for PC
So, thankfully I had an adapter/power source/sound card? that worked for the Mic since the only reason I bought it was due to my last lavalier mic broke. I recommend picking up CableCreation USB Audio Adapter to use with it.If you are running it on PC, have the little tabs on the cylinder bit set to -10db and on the smartphone setting, you will also need to run in the headphone slot on the adapter for some reason.Becareful with the clip as mine snap second time i was using it.Personally, the wire length is kind of overkill, due to how thin the wire actually is, and it makes me worried if it gets caught on something and pulled it would break easily, also really annoying where the cylinder is placed on it since you have to have it attached to some part of your person/clothing due to moving around causing it to constantly shift.

Great Mic
This is a great microphone especially for the value. My wife interviews me for social media and my webiste. We often do our interviews in noisy environments. This mic cuts out all of the background noise and my voice is loud and clear. My wife also uses the mic to record herself. She has a quieter voice and it picks up her voice beautifully. I highly recommend this purchase.

Excellent quality
I got a wireless mic first but it sounded staticky and under the water kind of sound. But this one is crisp sound. It picks up on all sounds pretty well which is what i wanted.

Good mic, yet I received a used product
The mic performs just as expected. It's pretty good overall. I was definitely sold a used product though. The box was torn and the mic was dirty out of the box. Unpleasantly surprised. If it doesn't hold up, I will certainly return to update my review.

Great potential, yet very flawed
The mic is good - everything of it. EXCEPT!It has many issues, as can be seen on reviews section. My issue is a hissing/white noise which is BUILT IN for my unit - can't be fixed no matter what.Underline - if your copy is functional, great! If not - yikes.
