Are use, but not what it was designed for
So this is a very odd review. I didn’t buy this to clean my tap.I have a new car that has an electric towbar that took away underneath when not in use the problem is the towbar gets rusty and standard covers just hold water. I tried all sorts of ways of keeping the bar from rusting And then I came across this is extremely tight over the towbar and it stops water getting to the head so it doesn’t rust and I’ll recommendation. I’m sure you will agree but it certainly does work.So if you have a car with a towbar that took underneath out of the way and you’re fed up with it getting rusty by this little device it’ll stop it .

Easy to use
A very handy little gadget this. Fill it with lime scale remover when the end of your taps get encrusted with lime scale. Works a treat and is very effective.

Works !
Takes few days to be perfect crystal clean but it does work ! Horray ! Disgusting things are removed. Cost effective and worth trying this for your hygiene if rented flat ! I have tested HG and white wine vinegar combo by two days - not mixing them, different days in a separate way . I have an impression that my organic 🥹 white wine vinegar worked better than HG but it smells really. Only two days patience ! Now I am testing only white wine vinegar way . Anyway this works and you can use it for various areas . 5 stars as per results and costs !You leave it overnight and no efforts required much . Finish off with hard blush. Nor only lime scale but also black or green things of water impurity had been removed. Even the water of river would be safer … seriously I am fighting with water gems . This is one of the first step to get assured for hygiene !

Good in theory but in practice doesn’t work for horizontal taps!!
In theory this product is great, allowing the tap to sit in descaling fluid so it has time to work properly.. in practice, unless your tap has a big downward curve, the end doesn’t actually dip in the fluid - my taps are old fashioned mainly horizontal with a 45 degree tipped end - the fluid leaks out from the bulb of the limey rather than bathing the end of the tap.. so doesn’t work for my taps.. I’ll have to find another method..

Limey - Tap Head descaling Ball
Did the job, made from strong rubber that fitted over the tap which kept the cleaning fluid up to the inside of the tap ensuring that the limescale was covered. Left it all night and the next day all the limescale was in the balloon.

Didn’t fit my tap
Nothing wrong With the item. It was just not suitable for my basin tap. It should have stated not suitable for short traditional taps.

Worked a treat
Used this with white spirit vinegar and it worked on my utility sink tap which was crusted over with lime scale and spraying water in all directions. I did four applications (refills) over two days, scrubbing between each refill, and the tap is now good as new. A brilliant little device.

Tested it without testing it.
I managed to test it, without testing it. Here's how. Before it arrived it dawned on me that this thing is really nothing more than a glorified bag or balloon. So I decided to test the proof of concept before it arrived so that I could either cancel the order before it shipped or send it back immediately upon arrival if I believed it wouldn't work.So what I did was, I got the smallest size freezer bags I have and then filled the bottom of the bag with white vinegar (not normal dark malt vinegar).I then attached the bag to my kitchen sink tap, making sure that there was sufficient white vinegar to immerse the end of the tap in about an inch depth of the vinegar.I then tied the bag to the body of the tap and left it like that overnight. It worked! The tap was back to its shiny exterior, the vinegar solution had bits of limescale floating in it and the limescale that didn't come off I just gently agitated and it fell away from the innards of the tap with ease.So I haven't used this device yet as I don't need to just yet but.......I know when I do, it will work. There are dedicated descaling solutions on the market but I don’t know how effective they are or whether they're safe to use in the material that this product is made of. What I do know is, that for under £1 from LiDL I got a bottle of white vinegar and it worked. So I see no reason why this device, in conjuction with an effective solution, will not work for you. And it's a much more elegant tool than using a freezer bag.
