I use CC ice on Ice on my persians both on wet coats after bathing for detangling and in between to keep the comb gliding through their coats with no snagging for a smooth experience for them. The directions say to spray sparingly and that's all you'll need. (Give it a second and then comb through, I found that's how it works best to do it. On dry coats, you can spray it on your comb then through the coat, or spray directly on the coat, but don't over spray. Use sparingly. I don't have problems with matting because I don't allow my cats get matted so cannot answer for problems like that. This is a grooming aid for as I have mentioned and works extremely well. A favorite among persian cat owners!(also a tip, says you can use for tear stains with a q-tip...I did try this and it works!) Seems to help the coat dry faster after bathing too! Leaves it soft and luxurious... I've been bathing my own persians for over 40 years.

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel gets mats in her fur all the time. I have tried many different products to help get these mats out and this is the only one that really helps. I still have to work on the mats with a comb and some patience, but with this spray they do come out. I refuse to cut her beautiful coat, so this spray is essential. It has a very light fragrance, which is pleasant, but it seems to fade as soon as it dries. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

My friend bought it for me but my cat spilled half of it, so used super fast last time. But it's working very well, would recommend!

Best product I have found for my Doodles, even the one with total Poodle curl. Spray, blow out, and slicker brush. Helps resist mats between 6-week full groom.One big problem. Twice I have received where bottles was not well protected and shipped in bag. Tape around lid comes loose and product leaks out into bag. Will look for another place to buy it. Amazon makes it right, but it's an inconvenience.

I used this on my yorkie with long hair. She was terribly matted. I sprayed a little at first & then I soaked the mat. It did not comb out with much work. Eventually I had to cut out the mat.

This product is great. I have an Australian Shepherd that I have to comb at least every few days. He hates anything that has an odor to it. This does not smell at all that we have noticed. Just spray it on and start combing. I would highly recommend it.

I had to stop mid way during the process of using this product to write this review. My 10lb shih tzu is unfortunately matted. I really don't want to have her shaved so I purchased this and wasn't expecting much. The most matting is on her legs and around her neck. I sprayed her neck area and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I couldn't believe that I got this much hair out. She usually hate being brushed but for the most part she was surprisingly calm. Her neck is now Matt free and we're moving on to the legs. Pray for me because she hate having her legs messed with. Lol
