Overall, great product and excellent customer support. Call went through almost immediately to a human. Kudos for that alone. Ran into a little trouble on the set up using a Sonos soundbar, but more due to my misunderstanding or inadequate reading of the instructions on how to do a bypass as the instructions are surprisingly good. Spoke with Janice in customer support and she was very patient and thorough in walking me through the steps I needed to reconfigure the setup. All the possible cords for multiple sets ups are included. Headset has acceptable moderate weight and expandable for different head sizes. Ear pads are marked right and left which is convenient. Volume control has easy access and definitely has significant volume. Overall clear sound. For a modest amount more you might want to consider the Opera Plus which has 3D Surround or cinema mode.

My father needed a simple solution for wireless headphones on his older Samsung Smart TV which did not have bluetooth support. We tried a standalone optical to bluetooth transmitter to work with another set of headphones he owned, but that setup was complicated and didn't always work.This product from Avantree was a perfect surprise; the headphones are comfortable and loud, and since they come with their own transmitter they "just work." I have heard no complaints about the battery life which means they work for at least a full day of steady TV watching, and they are also super easy to charge. The size is fully adjustable too.The base allows an additional optical audio out so that my dad can have these playing at the same time as his soundbar, so he can switch between the two without changing any settings.After about 10 months of great usage my father had an accident wherein the plastic hinges of the headset were physically snapped. Fortunately I had saved the original packaging because it contained an email address for Avantree support. I worked with Rie from their team who was extremely efficient, kind, and helpful, and they helped me get the headset replaced with a new pair under warranty.It was by far the single best customer service experience I have had in probably 15 years.Excellent product and excellent support from Avantree. I would highly recommend this product and buy from them again.

Clear dialog, comfortable, easy to install and use, works well with sound bar attached to tv. Only used for one night, so far, but battery stayed charged for 4 episodes of a series and was still charged. Does not completely block out noises in the room when using them. Volume buttons are a bit difficult to find among other buttons on the headset. Overall I love them!Update: after using headphones successfully a few times, I find they do not charge on the stand and must be charged on a separate cable. Some streaming movies do not work with these headphones.

These work great, excellent sound quality, easy to connect, would give them 5 stars except for a weak spot on the ear pad mounting...mine broke, but they immediately sent out a replacement at no charge...overall, very satisfied with the headphones

These were the easiest headphones to hook to my LG tv. I have used this brand for years, but when I got my new tv recently the old model just wouldn’t hook up right without doing a lot of manual set up each time. I think the version I had was just to outdated. I love this brand and didn’t want to go with another brand, so I bought the Opera Plus, they hooked up immediately and have no problems. The sound is excellent.

I’ve owned the Avantree Opera tv headphones for 8 months and the charging base stopped working. They claim I have a 24 month warranty. They will not help me and constantly reply to my messages with the same trouble shooting. I even have an issue number. When I called the person went through the same trouble shooting again although I told them I have done all trouble shooting already. The rep told me they would put a request in for a new charging base. This was 2 months ago. When I received no replacement I emailed them off my other emails and they replied with the trouble shooting again for the 6th time.My last email I asked for a Supervisor to call me because I’m being fed the same steps over and over. They just didn’t respond this time. My only choice is to try to get a Supervisor on the phone. I would not buy any Avantree products. None. Move on bc when you need support they just send the same email over and over to my pleas for help. I will never buy an Avantree product again because it’s frustrating and infuriating at this point. I know when I call again today they will tell me to do trouble shooting again. I think they expect me to use a usb c plug to charge them each time. If I knew this company had poor service, I would have never bought them.7/4/25After posting this review I was immediately emailed and they were sending new headphones and new base but the same thing is happening with the replacement. You can not charge them from the base. They are suppose to charge and stay charged for when I want to use them and each time the headphones are dead and don’t work. Their answer is to use a usb c plug to charge them and don’t use the base. Then why make a base that is suppose to charge headphones continuously. Now they are dead and I’m not using the headphones anymore and chose to use my Bose quiet comfort earbuds. So again, do not buy these headphones bc the useless base does not keep charge to the headphones.

I would rate the Avantree Opera Wireless TV Headphone Set as the most comfortable set I have even used. The sound quality is excellent. But equally important is the customer service provided by the company, especially a representative named Rosally who talked me through the setup as I am an 83 year-old tech dinosaur. To be able to call a company and actually talk to a real person is wonderful! I wish more company would have this level of customer service.
