Update 9/3/21:The below review I was using the pillow with my leesa mattress, the mattress was getting old and was soft and I think the sinking mixed with this pillow was not a good mix. Fast forward almost a year and we got a new temperpedic pro adapt firm mattress and I trialed every pillow I own and this pillow was literally made for those types of beds. Love it with it. Great neck support and can use it when side sleeping.I purchased this pillow to encourage me to sleep on my back and because my head tends to slide off the pillow leading my neck to support me and my neck hurts so bad in the morning. First impression was that it was a lot firmer than I thought, it's not the most comfortable when your head is on it. The first week I woke up with horrible shoulder pain. My neck pain is gone but the way this pillow is shaped pushes my shoulders down and they are sore come morning. A good thing is my neck no longer hurts however it is stiff? I notice this when I try to turn I have to turn my whole body because my neck is stiff, it doesn't hurt when in a neutral position. Needless to say I am still on the hunt for the perfect pillow as this ain't it.

When I got this pillow, I immediately put in for a return due to the noxious chemical? smell. I've never had a pillow like this, so I didn't know if that was expected but I didn't see any reviews mentioning it. It sat out for days and it seemed the smell somewhat dissipated. But it was still strong when I tried to use it. So I sprayed with a fabric spray (odor killer, no scent), let it sit outside and washed the pillow case. I have added my own standard pillowcase over the fitted one. That seems to have helped a lot, and I really do like the support for my head.

I really, REALLY, wanted to like this pillow. I've given it every chance possible, but in the end - it's plain bad. First, the pillow never expanded much from when I took it out of its box. It's just flat. I'm a side sleeper and it gives my neck 0 support - it's simply not high enough. And I'm not some giant person with a crazy neck; I'm 5' 8". Yes, I'm aware there are two sides of the pillow, one higher than the other, but neither does anything. I actually have this pillow on top of my old pillow to give it some height so I can even feel it on my neck, but it falls off during the night and is uncomfortable. I've had the pillow for exactly a month today, so I've given it plenty of time to expand and for my "body to get used to it", but it's not happening. Even worse, because the pillow is so flat, now I have shoulder pain from using the pillow. I hate giving bad reviews, and I understand that for many people a pillow is a personal fit for a particular body, but I honestly don't know how this would help any side sleeper. Perhaps if you are a back or stomach sleeper it will work, but considering it was sold for side sleepers and that's why I bought it, it gets the lowest rating I can give it.

This pillow did not work well for me at all. It's not nearly as fluffy as it looks in the picture. I'm a side sleeper and found that it didn't support my neck or shoulders well at all. I woke up with a stiff neck a few times before trying a different pillow. It has an interesting shape and seems to be made pretty well, just didn't work out for me unfortunately.

I have been sleeping on contoured cervical neck pillows for over 20 years on the recommendation of my chiropractor. I've never deviated from contoured pillows ever since and really can't sleep on ordinary polyester or feather pillows without getting a horrible crook in my neck and tossing and turning all night. I suffer from stiff neck and my vertebrae seem to knock out of place easily so it's important for me to maintain proper postural alignment even when sleeping. The divot in the center of this pillow keeps my head stable while the small cervical ramp provides gentle support. The pillow is designed for back and side sleeping only (which is how I sleep anyways). The pillow is soft, not overly firm, and the memory foam conforms to your head nicely. I am a petite woman, and many of these one size fits all contour pillows are too high causing forward neck flexion, but not this one. This one is the perfect size for me. I'd say the height of the pillow is great for smaller adults or those that do not prefer a high pile pillow.

I have severe degenerative disc disease in my neck. It's to the point were I need surgery. My C4 to C6 disc's are virtually nonexistent. I have tried so many pillows and I really wanted to like this one. After reading the reviews I was sure I had found a pillow that would help me. After a week of using the pillow my neck has not hurt this badly in months. The contours is not supportive enough at all and the overall shape is awkward for me. I have a long neck and the head positioning just does not work for me.That being said overall I feel this is a very well made pillow. It is soft, did not have the customary memory foam smell, did not lose any shape. The material is definitely a good quality. It is definitely more comfortable for someone who sleeps consistently on their back. I am a side sleeper unfortunately and it was just not a good fit for me. This could be a great pillow for someone who maybe doesn't have as severe of a problem as I do.
