I really like the material. It is a very heavy, felt-like material. It seems like it will provide good protection during the winter. What I don’t like about it is what many other reviewers have mentioned. It is terribly packaged and not friendly to use. I t pretty much comes in a large, long sheet of fabric that is scored down the middle. I had to lay out the entire block of fabric, separate it into two segments at the score, cut it into more manageable lengths of fabric, and then wrap it around my hand to make it into a roll that would then be easy to wrap around the trunk of a tree. Have you ever tried to wrap an extremely long piece of material around a tree trunk without it being rolled up first? It is a pain. That is how this product is delivered. Other than the packaging element, I quite like the actual wrap. It was inexpensive which was the only saving grace. I recommend buying it, if you are willing to put in the work to separate it.

I figured the 'fabric' was going to be some plastic derivative woven in a way to allow breathability. Maybe it says in the reviews, I dunno.But, it's *extremely* water absorbent. It will absorb all moisture from dew / frost and keep it on the tree all day. I fear for the north sides of trunks covered with this.I'm gonna head to the store and get the classic paper-based wrap that most moisture rolls off of.$17 wasted since I bought it way ahead of time. Should've looked at it closer when it showed up...

It comes in a rock hard vacuum package. I bought three rolls. They were well cut between each roll, but stuck together side by side in the package. It took some effort to separate them, but they did separate cleanly. The rolls are soft and flat, not like the picture. Which would be a stiff fabric with an inner 'toilet paper cardboard' supporting it. That is not what this product is. It is affordable and a good quality for its felt-like substance. Not for-- spray paint your grass green with plastic flowers people-- but for a more hardy gardener type of person that doesn't complain about a little effort.

Was surprised by the felt texture but like it - looks great on the tree.
