Not anti-microbial...creates a stink when wet
If you need this to trap dry dirt, it's ideal. However, for anything moisture related, the dampness sits and within hours a horrible dank smell starts.I used this under my dogs water bowl. At first, I loved the job it did. The floor was dry! However, over the next few days I began to notice a weird smell in my house when I would get home from work. Then my husband mentioned he smelled an odor as well. We quickly discovered it was the Muddy Mat. We took it out to make sure and the odor was gone. Brought it back in after an intense cleaning and drying in the sun for a couple days. A day later the smell was back.Great for dry dirt as I said. But if you live in a humid area, perhaps think twice before purchasing.

Great for cat lovers!
I got two of these! One is in front of the cat litter box, as I have a cat that likes to jump over the regular cat litter mats and then drag his cat littered paws across the floor leaving me a glorious mess to clean up. It's like a Hansel & Gretle, but instead of bread crumbs it's cat litter. This tray is thankfully long enough that he has to dump some of that litter in the tray!The other mat we purchased has the cats food and water dish in it. That's because the same cat mentioned above also likes to "dig" in the water bowl occasionally leaving us a splendid water mess. I think he's popping bubbles, such a creative mind (eye roll). He is also kind of a messy eater.In total if you love your cats..or at least are trying to find a way to live with the messy little buggers, these mats are perfect! I'm sure these work great for dogs too, oh and maybe even a few pairs of shoes.

Um, where’d my other 4 inches go???
Ordered this as it’s the closest to the dimensions I need - specifically the 18”. Buuuuut, its only 14. That’s FOUR WHOLE INCHES that are not there. Oh and the 30” (aka 2.5 feet) is from handle to handle. So you lose more inches (about 2.5-3) when you measure the actual space of the tray.

This was the best product I've ever invested in
This was the best product I've ever invested in. Mainly I used this for my dog's food tray since he's such a messy eater. We've had several different dishes for him--the one that comes up to his level (doggy table style food try) which he still ate his food in a messy matter--and the lowered dog food dishes didn't help either. This catches all of his food and water that he spills everywhere. Someday, he'll learn to eat with etiquette....For now, it's very easy for me to clean!

Works for pets!
I purchased two of these to place under our pets' water and food bowls as they are all horribly messy eaters and drinkers. We have a corgi, and two cats. This has totally solved our problem with a puddle of water surrounding their eating area, and bits of food being strewn about the area.I'm satisfied with the material, but for some reason I thought it was a hard, rubberized tray - it is not rubber, it is simply a slightly flexible plastic. That works out well for our use case, but if you were expecting much flexibility, this may not be for you.The handles are very sturdy, and nice for moving the trays around.

Does what it's meant to do.
This is a boot tray for our tent. The tent has a canvas floor and is a boot free zone. The tray goes just inside close (but not too close) to the stove, so the critters and rain and snow can't get inside the boots. The tray is big enough to hold two or three pairs. Usually they're dried out by morning and we clap them together outside and shake all the dried mud off, then start another day. The tray itself is too floppy to lift with boots on it, but as soon as the boots are off it, it's stiff enough to take outside and dump.

Muddy Mat for my plants
I don't have a lot of boots to put on my Muddy Mat but I have a lot of plants. In order to keep my summer annual plants alive during the winter months I put them in our garage. I put the pots in the Muddy Mat to collect any water that may spill over during watering. They work great and the wood surface of the cabinet stays clean and undamaged. I have two mats and they work great for my purpose.

Love the tray
I love this durable tray. I bought it specifically to place under my large dog's feeding bowls. He is a messy eater/drinker and this mat collects all of his water splashes and crumb droppings. Doesn't slip, has a good grip, but is extremely light but very sturdy. And easy to clean. There are endless ways this tray could be used, so I may get one or two more for some other spill catching places. Love it!
