AeromaxAeromax Astronaut Boots, size Small, White, with NASA patches

These were the final purchase to complete my son's astronaut costume. I have bought different pieces the last few years since each piece can be expensive and all together it wasn't something we could afford to buy all at once. He now has the suit, helmet, gloves, boots and a jetpack I made for him. The first year he just wore the suit, I bought it a little large, and the helmet. Last year I made a jet pack, and this year is the best overall look, the whole thing together finally!These astronaut boots, size large, were the perfect fit for his size 4 tennis shoes and hiking boots. These boots are not actual boots, they are just boot covers that go over your shoes. There are no actual bottoms, just two elastic straps to hold the boots in place. They can be difficult to get on. The best way to do it is to put your regular shoes on, then slip these over your shoes, sticking your shoe between the two elastic straps as you pull it up. He had trouble getting these on at school by himself because he was trying to stick his shoe into the boot and down. He was finally able to do it with some help, but it is so much easier to just put your regular shoes on first, then these. He really liked the drawstring at the top of the boots, it kept the suit pants tucked in all afternoon at school and all evening while out trick or treating. He will be able to play in these for probably another year before he grows out of them. The elastic has not shown any wear from Halloween itself. If it does, it will be easy to replace.I purchased these astronaut boot covers on Amazon, paying full price for them. I find it helpful to read other people's reviews when I am considering purchasing something, so try and write reviews for my online purchases too. These are awesome and went perfectly with the rest of his costume. He will wear this around the house for dress up long after halloween is over. Paired with the white space suit, gloves, helmet and backpack and he looked amazing. Received tons of compliments! He did not actually end up wearing them trick or treating because he had to wear his boots and they would not fit over them. But, they fit nicely over a regular pair of tennis shoes. He is 6-years-old and wears a size 3 shoe.

Got these to go with my son’s Halloween costume. They look cool, but aren’t necessarily a must if you have a good costume. I got them instead of buying black shoes/boots for his costume, but he wore his costume at school without them and it was fine. He only wore them at home for Halloween.They are a little hard to work with - found it best to put the boots on first and shoes after.Overall, they are icing on the cake for sure, but not a dealbreaker if the rest of your costume is on point.Sizing was weird. I measured his shoes (9T) and they were slightly longer than the smallest size per the size chart. Ordered the small size anyway and they fit fine.

These boots were bought to be paired with the Aeromax Jr. Astronaut Roleplay costume (separate review). The astronaut costume was for a school project and just didn't seem complete enough without black boot, which our son doesn't have. These boots matched perfectly and were a great supplement to the costume. Interestingly, the material is thicker than that of the costume itself, and has proven to be pretty durable over the past couple of months. The boots slip over any existing footwear, so these fit great over a favorite pair of athletic shoes. The bottom is open and there is a single strap that secures under the footwear. These boots have great detail and the patches are sewn on, not cheap vinyl applique, which makes them a really good deal. they even have reflective tape attached to the back of the boot which looks like it belongs, which is also great if used as a Halloween costume. Good value is to be had in these boots, whether for a school project, Halloween or imaginative play.

Be careful when tightening the boots- the plastic snapped off immediately when I put them on my son. I didn't bother to return because they boots still worked and the event was that evening. Kind of cumbersome to get on and off- wouldn't recommend using these if your kid is going to go between different bounce houses at a pumpkin patch. There's elastic on the bottom so the idea is that you wear your regular shoes with it, which is great, but definitely think about which activities your kid will take part in. They were super adorable, though, and really completed the astronaut look. I saw a few kids in astronaut costumes wearing regular shoes and was happy I bought these. Perhaps if the price was lower I'd give it another star.

So the boots are so super cute. We ordered them based on sizing shown. My son wears a size 1 shoe and the boot was very tight around the shoe so we are sending them back and ordering the next size. Great quality and attention to detail. My son loves them and so do it. Will be great with costume. **update we decided to keep the medium for my sons size 1 shoe and cut the bottom elastics out. They are tight enough that the boot won't move because the large boot was way too big for comfort. The boots are just adorable and complete the astronaut outfit and my son LOVES this costume.
